Khalid eager to meet PAS disciplinary panel

By Shazwan Mustafa Kamal

SHAH ALAM, Nov 3 — Shah Alam MP Khalid Samad today said he was eager to meet PAS’ disciplinary committee.

“I have not yet received a letter, but I believe that I am one of those who will be questioned,” said the PAS man, who stated that a complaint had been made against him recently.

“I was told that Selangor PAS had made a complaint against me. I am looking forward to the opportunity to explain my stand on various subjects including the beer ban and the temple issue.”

The outspoken MP also wants to find out the the stand of the party leadership on several matters, and felt that this needed to be settled once and for all if PAS wanted to move forward.

“It is unfortunate that it had to come to this level, but this seems to be the only way,” explained Khalid.

PAS spiritual leader Nik Aziz wanted a special muktamar to rid the party of leaders whom he described as “problematic” and seen to favour working closely with Umno instead of strengthening Pakatan Rakyat.

He had named Selangor executive councillor Datuk Dr. Hasan Ali along with PAS deputy president Nasharuddin Mat Isa and secretary-general Datuk Mustafa Ali.
